Intinerary
This tour covers one of the most spectacular drives along the Great Ocean Road, revealing lovely coastal scenery and the rugged coastline of the states of Victoria and South Australia.
Day 1: Melbourne Arrive in Melbourne and spend the day at your leisure.
Day 2: Melbourne – Ballarat (115 kilometres) Pick up your rental car and drive on to Ballarat. Visit Sovereign Hill, a theme park recreating the old gold rush days.
Day 3: Ballarat – Apollo Bay (220 kilometres) Travel to Geelong and on to the Great Ocean Road for one of the most spectacular scenic drives.
Day 4: Apollo Bay – Port Fairy (190 kilometres) Journey to Warrnambool via Port Campbell. Along the way, marvel at The Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge.
Day 5: Port Fairy – Mount Gambier (195 kilometres) Drive on to Mount Gambier, known for the Blue Lake and the cave in the centre of the city.
Day 6: Mount Gambier – Robe (137 kilometres) Depart Mount Gambier for the seaside town of Beachport before driving on to Robe. The museum and historic buildings here are worth exploring.
Day 7: Robe – Victor Harbour (350 kilometres) The next stop is Victor Harbour. One of the best known landmarks on the south coast is Rosetta Bluff, a natural rock formation that dominates the skyline.
Day 8: Victor Harbour – Adelaide (80 kilometres) Drive to McLaren Vale, home to the famous Hardy and Seaview grape farms before driving on to Adelaide. Drop your car at the airport and connect to your return flight home.
